HI, and welcome to my website. My name is Thomas Schoeller. Born 1962 in Queens NY, my family moved to New Milford Connecticut in 1972. I quickly fell in love with my new surroundings and the New England landscape. My earliest attempts at art was sketches I made of the pastoral scene from our home facing the hills of nearby Kent Connecticut due north. I loved drawing landscapes, always certain to include the stone walls, fencepost ,rustic barns and forested hillsides. Finally by 1987, photography became the vessel for me to create images in and around New England.
Photography has become more than a passion for me, as I am working hard towards making this a full time occupation. To be more accurate, a labor of love.
I'm a published artist, my images have been used in National Geographic Traveler, Schmapp Key West Florida 2008 travel guide, Montana Environmental Information calander 2009, and also for a Larry Schwartz book published by Sterling Books. Additionally, my photography has been used commercially for
http://www.Litchfieldcountyhomes.com real estate web site and the Croww website
http://www.croww.org (Concerned residents of Warren and Washington Connecticut) dedicated to the preservation of the regions scenic landscapes. My work is also published on an internet automotive magazine
http://www.moparwriteups.com dedicated to Chrysler enthusiast. Older publications include HOTBIKE magazine and MUSCLE CAR REVIEW magazine for which I was a contributing writer.
The primary focus of my photography nowadays is mainly scenic New England images. From nature abstract, impressionistic reflections, old farms and barns to the classic icons like covered bridges, historic clapboard churches, lighthouses and autumn foliage.
